Midnight Run, a 2018 short film, that has Dileesh Pothan and Chethan Jayalal in the lead roles was made available for audiences through the OTT platform Saina Play.

The thriller has already been screened at more than 25 film festivals, including the Indian Panorama and the Busan International Short Film Festival.

The 14-minute-long short film is written and directed by Ramya Raj and apart from Dileesh and Chetan, a lorry is also an important character in it. The short film, written by BT Anilkumar, is produced by Satheesh Ariyalath. Jallikettu and Angamaly Diaries cinematographer Gireesh Gangadharan cranked the camera while Renganath Raave handled the sound design for the critically-acclaimed project.

The short film revolves around a drunken, lewd truck driver (Dileesh) and a mysterious young boy (Chetan) who ran away from a scrapyard. The short film is filled to the brim with tension and surprise, while playing all along with the idea of fear. The theme is unpredictable and plays with what fear can do to the human psyche.

Dileesh, meanwhile, had directed Fahadh Faasil in Joji, which released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. The movie, scripted by Syam Pushkaran, marked the trio’s third venture together after Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.
