Kiran Abbavaram is one of the most promising actors in Telugu cinema. After facing back-to-back flops, he made a strong comeback with KA, which is now trending on ETV Win months after its release. Now, he is gearing up for his next film, Dilruba, a romantic action comedy.
The makers have officially locked the release date for Dilruba as March 14, 2025, and unveiled the trailer today. From the looks of it, the film has a predictable premise but is presented in a fresh and engaging manner.
The trailer showcases Kiran Abbavaram as a college student who leaves his past behind after breaking up with his ex-girlfriend. However, upon joining a new college, he unexpectedly runs into her again. Meanwhile, he falls in love with his new college mate, played by Rukshar Dhillon.

Stuck between his past and present, Kiran soon finds himself entangled in a conflict, leading to a chaotic situation. The only way out is for him to apologize—but being a man who refuses to say sorry when he hasn't made a mistake, he finds himself in deep trouble. How he navigates this mess forms the crux of the story.
Director Viswa Karun has executed this storyline engagingly, as seen in the trailer. Kiran Abbavaram appears in a mass-action avatar, delivering powerful dialogues that suit his persona well. His energetic screen presence adds to the appeal. Rukshar Dhillon, making a comeback to Telugu cinema, looks stunning and plays her part convincingly.
Visually, Dilruba boasts high production values, a mix of action, drama, and glamour. Though such stories have been explored before, the presentation in the trailer feels fresh. If the execution translates well on the big screen, Dilruba has the potential to be a massive hit.
The film also features Satya, Dayanand Reddy, and John Vijay in key roles. Produced by Sivam Celluloids, the film’s music is composed by Sam CS, whose background score in the trailer has already received positive feedback. The team plans to release more promotional content leading up to the film’s release. Stay tuned for further updates.
