Dipika Kakar quits acting in the midst of pregnancy: Told Shoaib I don’t want to work

TV actress and Bigg Boss 12 winner Dipika Kakar has quit acting. She is currently pregnant with her and husband Shoaib Ibrahim’s child. The actress was certain while entering this phase, that she does not want to continue her acting career.

Dipika told First India Telly that she has decided to quit acting. The actress became a household name after playing the lead in Sasural Simar Ka. She was also seen in the show’s reboot version.

Dipika said that she is enjoying her pregnancy phase and welcoming her first child with Shoaib. She then shared that since she has worked in the industry for 10-15 years at a stretch, she now wants to live the life of a housewife and mother.

The actress said that living as a housewife was always her dream. She calls working in the entertainment industry ‘a happy accident.’

Not just Dipika, even Shoaib hopes to be able to take a few months off to enjoy the phase with his wife. He wants to be there for his newborn baby at least for the first few months.

Dipika and Shoaib shared the pregnancy news in January. Their newborn will be their first ever child in their five years of marriage.

Apart from Sasural Simar Ka, Dipika is known for her work in the TV shows, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. The actress appeared on Bigg Boss for the first time for season 12 and picked up the trophy. She was competing with Hina Khan for the same.
