Abhishek Bajaj has grown steadily in showbiz over the years with an interesting bunch of projects across various mediums. While he initially made appearances in advertisements, forayed into television shows too, Abhishek fulfilled his big-screen dream with the the Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria-starrer Student Of The Year 2. After playing a key role in Ayushmann Khurrana and Vani Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, he has now turned a male lead with Babli Bouncer.

Madhur Bhandarkar, the director of Babli Bouncer, that had a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 23, firmly believed that Abhishek had it in him to headline a film, that too alongside a star like Tamannaah Bhatia. The film was certainly a 'dream come true' moment for the actor, adding it was a privilege to be directed by a stalwart like Bhandarkar. Abhishek even shared glimpses of their shoot experiences on social media. His other films were helmed by Punit Malhotra and Abhishek Kapoor.

Surprisingly, it isn't only Abhishek who was excited about bagging Babli Bouncer. Bhandarkar, reportedly, had a good time filming with the youngster. He added Abhishek was just the actor he was looking forward to cast in the film and mentioned that Abhishek suited the part to perfection. The Fashion filmmaker even named him a natural actor and said he was highly talented. He applauded him for remembering his lines well and also for sharing good on-screen chemistry with Tamannaah.

Bhandarkar is hopeful that Babli Bouncer would turn out to be a game-changer for Abhishek and grab the eyeballs of his industry counterparts. Will the actor-director duo reunite for another project too? Well, we don't know that yet. Babli Bouncer released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Produced by Vineet Jain and Star Studios, the film revolving around a female bouncer in Delhi had music by Tanishk Bagchi and Karan Malhotra.
