After directing two installments of the crime-thriller franchise Hit and remaking the film in Hindi later, Sailesh Kolanu is all set for the fourth release in his career—Venkatesh's biggie Saindhav, a pan-Indian film. Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Jeremiah, Ruhani Sharma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Arya play other key roles in the film. At the trailer launch, the director spoke about the action thriller at length.

“I wasn’t very conscious of directing Venkatesh in his 75th film, mostly during the filmmaking. After noticing the celebratory vibe during the promotions, I’m more or less understanding the value of this opportunity. He has trusted me, a two-film old, immensely over the last year and I’ve given everything to fulfil my responsibility,” Sailesh Kolanu shared.

When watching Hollywood action films like Equaliser or Taken, he was hopeful of creating similar magic when senior heroes in Telugu cinema joined hands with the younger filmmakers. “This is the time to watch and celebrate Venkatesh on the big screen; he has put his heart and soul into the project for over a year. I’ll always be thankful to my producer, Venkat Boyanapalli.”

The director revealed he has barely slept in the last few days and said he has preserved his energies for the pre-release event. “I’ve exhausted myself as a filmmaker with Saindhav and I don't think I can make a better film than this. People are asking me if Saindhav is apt for the festival season. It’s always a festive time when a Venkatesh starrer hits screens.”

Sailesh mentioned the star-studded lineup will be another major attraction in the film. “I hope you enjoy the film in theatres and let us know your opinion,” he signed off. The trailer launch event was graced by Venkatesh, producer Venkat Boyanapalli, actor Chaitanya Sagiraju and others. Other films releasing for Sankranthi include Eagle, Guntur Kaaram, HanuMan and Naa Saami Ranga.
