Disco: Arjun Ashokan & Antony Varghese Pepe to star in Anchakkallakokkan makers' next film

The makers of the Malayalam film, Anchakkallakokkan, have announced their next project today (January 9). With a first look poster, it has been confirmed that Arjun Ashokan and Antony Varghese Pepe are playing the lead roles in this film titled Disco.

In the first poster, Arjun is dressed as Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. The other people in the poster are likewise dressed up as well-known Hollywood figures like Heart Eyes, Batman, and the Joker. This film, which seems to be an action thriller, also features significant roles for Lukman Avaran, Dev Mohan, Chemban Vinod, Sreenath Bhasi, and Vishnu Unnikrishnan. This project, written and supported by actor Chemban Vinod, is being directed by his brother, Ullas Chemban. In the upcoming days, more details about this film is anticipated. 

Antony Varghese Pepe has an interesting lineup of films for 2026 which includes Kattalan and I'm Game. Meanwhile, Arjun's sports drama, Chatha Pacha, will release in theatres on January 22. The duo has previously worked together in Chaaver, which is available to watch on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium.

Where to watch Anchakkallakokkan online?

Ullas Chemban's directorial debut, Anchakkallakokkan, is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Aha in Malayalam as well as Telugu. It revolves around a police officer's first case, in which a blacksmith admits to killing a landowner. As he delves further, he finds that motivations are significantly more nuanced than they first appear. These pull him into a sinister web of dishonesty. Anchakkallakokkan features a few masterfully choreographed action sequences that honour Quentin Tarantino's films. Lukman Avaran and Chemban Vinod were also praised by the audience for their performances.

Megha Thomas, Senthil Kumar, Merin Mary Philip, Manikandan R. Achari, and Sreejith Ravi all play important parts. The director wrote the screenplay and Chemban Vinod Jose supported the 2024 movie. After its digital release, Anchakkallakokkan was able to leave an impression on the audience.
