Disha Patani claims that audiences, not filmmakers, are the ones who give her the reputation of being a diva, a title for which she is grateful. The actor also said that she only appeared in the movies Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and Malang, both of which featured attractive characters.

Patani told PTI that it's a perception and she is happy to have an identity of some kind. Nothing unfavourable can be said about it, and being renowned for anything is significant. She observes individuals approaching her and making various offers. The spectators are more likely to believe that than the filmmakers, and they are amenable to performers trying new ideas. They believe an artist will perform better if they get out of their comfort zone.

The actor, who was born in Bareilly, claimed that viewers would see a different side of her personality in her next movies. The follow-up to the 2014 smash hit Ek Villain, Ek Villain Returns will feature her next.

KTina, in which Patani is rumoured to play a pious, small-town Punjabi woman, as well as the actioner Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra and the sci-fi film with Prabhas, are both in the works.

The actor added that she easily gets bored herself and she has to stop reciting the same passages. These movies are all distinctive from one another, and she hopes these films change how people perceive her.

In Ek Villain Returns, she portrays Rasika, a Marathi woman who thinks greed is good. Since her character is so avaricious, she would stop at nothing to obtain the things she desires in life. She manipulates guys to achieve her goals. Defending herself as a director's actor, Patani said she submitted to Mohit Suri's vision for Ek Villain Returns.

Patani added that she carries out the director's directions. She had to work on the Marathi dialect and the character's transition, which was challenging for this movie and character.

Tara Sutaria, Arjun Kapoor, and John Abraham are featured in Ek Villain Returns as well. The movie, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor through Balaji Telefilms and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, will be released on July 29.
