Each season of the highly anticipated Indian Premier League brings with a memorable tune that becomes a trademark of the tournament for that year. Previous anthems that spectators have grooved to are still fresh in our minds - India Ka Tyohaar in 2015 and Dwayne Bravo’s Champion in 2016. The iconic anthems of teams Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad too are still fan-favourites. The newest addition to this list of epic anthems is India Ki Vibe Alag Hai by Disney+ Hotstar.
India Ki Vibe Alag Hai is rich with the melodies of talented Indian artists. This multilingual anthem features lyrics in eight languages and represents the diverse cultures of India. Developed by Nucleya, one of India’s biggest DJs, has developed this exhilarating anthem along with eight happening Indian rappers- Dee MC, RAK, J19 Squad, Satyum, Vithika Sheru, Maharya, Gubbi, and Rawal. The tune of this exhilarating anthem is one which accurately captures the emotions of cricket fans, ranging from dejection and woe to elation and celebration.
The music video to India Ki Vibe Alag Hai has been shot in the 8 cities to which the teams of Vivo IPL 2021 belong. Adding to this blend of music and diversity, Disney+ Hotstar has also encapsulated the importance of dance in Indian culture. The video features hook steps that have been made popular by crickets in IPL over the years, so don't be surprised if you spot Keiron Pollard’s legendary arm rotations or Virat Kohli’s flying kiss fused into dances.
Creator of this catchy rhyme, Nucleya stated that the anthem corresponds to the passion of several Indians who are invested in the tournament. Their love and competitive spirit is what the anthem aims to celebrate, while highlighting each city’s quirks and languages to form a multicultural experience.
