Divya Uruduga to play a pivotal role in Hariprasad Jayanna’s directorial debut, Padavi Poorva

Director Hariprasad Jayanna’s project, the romantic entertainer Padavi Poorva, which is being backed by his mentor, filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat and Ravi Shammanur, has a couple of new additions to its cast. The film stars Pruthvi Shammanur, Anjali Anish and Yasha Shivakumar in lead roles, with Rama Rama Re fame Nataraj S Bhat and Sonal Monteiro playing pivotal characters.

The latest, we hear, is that Hariprasad has got actress and Bigg Boss Kannada fame Divya Uruduga and actor Prabhu Mundkur on board for a couple of cameos in the film. The cameos of Divya and Prabhu, who were last seen together in the film Ranchi earlier, are vital to the narrative, sn films ays Hariprasad. Divya and Prabhu will shoot for their portions in Mangaluru shortly. The filmmaker adds that Divya will have a few scenes in Bengaluru as well.

The team is currently making plans for the fifth and final schedule of the college caper, which is set in the 90s, with scenes to be canned in Bengaluru and Mangaluru. The film has music by Arjun Janya, while Santhosh Rai Pathaje fills in as cinematographer.

Padavi Poorva is the directorial debut of Hariprasad, a long-time associate of Yogaraj Bhat, who has assisted the latter on films like Vaastu Prakara, Danakayonu and Panchatantra. In fact, the filmmaker was supposed to debut long ago with a project called Premadalli, featuring Vihan Gowda, Ameeta Kulal and Akshara Gowda in the lead. It is unclear if Padavi Poorva is the same subject he had meant for Premadalli, with a new cast, given that the latter was in production with a production house that went bust after announcing almost 10 Kannada films and starting work on many of them.
