Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya is recovering from her surgery after falling from a height. The actress will soon resume shooting for Adrishyam: The Invisible Heroes. Divyanka wanted to attempt action as a genre for a long time and she got to experiment the same with SonyLIV's web show. In this series, the actress is seen as an undercover intelligence officer. Although people's perception of Dahiya changed after Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, she was earlier perceived as a 'domesticated' and 'delicate' person. The actress was also judged for being sweet and polite to others.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya was asked about her politeness being considered a pretence. To this, the Adrishyam actress said she has been used to it since childhood. Divyanka recalled how people felt she was 'fake' in school.
The actress further mentioned, "The same thing happened after I joined the industry. They would call me ‘meethi chhuri’ because it was hard for them to digest that somebody could be sweet and polite!"
Divyanka also revealed she was asked to change her behaviour so that nobody could take her undue advantage. The actress was shocked by the same as she was asked to change something good about her.
In the same conversation, Divyanka spoke about doing physical prep for her OTT show, Adrishyam. Although she was recovering from a leg injury, the prospect of doing the series made the actress recover faster. "I also did a bit of combat training. I wanted to be fully equipped before the shoot," she said.
In Adrishyam, Divyanka shares screen space with Eijaz Khan. While the actress plays the role of Parvati Sehgal, Khan is seen as Ravi Verma. Directed by Anshuman Kishore Singh, Adrishyam premiered on the streaming platform on April 11, 2024.
