Siddhu Jonnalagadda has consistently tried to reinvent himself in his tryst with cinema with his diverse choices, cementing his position as one of the most promising talents in the industry. Having been an active part in the writing of films like Guntur Talkies, Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma and Krishna and his Leela, the actor-writer's next is the much-awaited DJ Tillu. The actor hasn't only co-written the script and dialogues for the film but has also turned a singer for a number titled Nuvvala, launched on his birthday yesterday.
'Nee Kanulanu Chusaane..Oka Nimisham Lokam Marichane..," the song starts more like a ballad where the lyrics elaborate on the impact that a romantic interest has left behind in the life of DJ Tillu (played by Siddhu Jonnalagadda). 'She has grown on me with time, I can't have enough of her," the lines suggest. Also seen in the song, jamming with Siddhu is his good friend and regular collaborator, composer Sri Charan Pakala. The brief number, spanning a little over two minutes, is shot in a bar and is interspersed with visuals of Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Neha Shetty from DJ Tillu.
Nuvvala is simple, catchy, doesn't try too hard and has the free-flowing quality that's certain to resonate with music lovers. Siddhu Jonnalagadda has turned a new leaf with elan and it won't be surprising if we have many more composers associating with him as a singer too in the times to come. DJ Tillu's other tracks, like the title song and Pataas Pilla, are a rage with youngsters already and has contributed to the film's buzz. The film, to hit theatres on February 12, is directed by Vimal Krishna and also features Brahmaji, Pragathi, Narra Suresh, Prince Cecil in important roles.
DJ Tillu is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments in collaboration with Fortune Four Cinemas.
