Siddhu Jonnalagadda, as a writer and a director, has been consistently reinventing himself with time in the industry, having proved his worth with films like LBW, Guntur Talkies, Krishna and his Leela and Kalki. His next release is DJ Tillu, a massy thriller-comedy, where he plays the title character and is paired alongside Neha Shetty. He has also co-written the film along with the director Vimal Krishna. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, DJ Tillu is heading for a release in October. The film's wacky teaser was launched earlier today.
The teaser presents Siddhu Jonnalagadda at his massy best, be it his raw energy, body language or the Telangana slang (that he gets it absolutely right). DJ Tillu teaser starts at a hair salon where Siddhu aka Tillu asks the barber to style him like Mahesh Babu. It later takes you through his profession, DJing where he boasts of performing at Bonalu, half-saree functions, Mahankali jathara and gets audiences grooving to his 'scratch' mix. He's a hit with the girls and starts making love in unusual locations that invite uncalled-for trouble. He also calls his story a 'Fast and Furious' film.
The makers succeed in presenting the raw Telangana flavour of the film in the two-minute teaser full of action, thrills, chases catchy dialogues, and romance aplenty. Neha Shetty and Siddhu make for a good on-screen pair and it looks like the film's unsung hero is its composer Sricharan Pakala, who brings so much energy into the table with the foot-tapping score. Siddhu has also written the dialogues for the film that also stars Prince Cecil, Brahmaji, Pragathi and Narra Srinivas. Award-winning editor Navin Nooli is part of the film's technical crew.
