Do Aur Do Pyaar new poster - Vidya Balan, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ileana D'Cruz, Pratik Gandhi take on modern love and relationships

Vidya Balan has a film release every year, and each of them is poles apart from each other in terms of storyline as well as genre. Now, after a very long time, the talented actor has come back to the romance genre, and her upcoming film has finally got a title. Yes, we are talking about Do Aur Do Pyaar, in which Vidya co-stars with Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ileana D'Cruz, and Pratik Gandhi. 

Unveiling the love story

The makers unveiled a new poster for the film featuring the four leading actors, hinting at a love story based on contemporary relationships. While sharing the poster, they captioned it with the theatrical release date of Do Aur Do Pyaar. 

It read, "This season, let love surprise you, confuse you, and consume you! #DoAurDoPyaar is releasing in cinemas on March 29, 2024! (sic)"

A fresh perspective on love

Directed by award-winning ad filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thakurta, this film marks her feature debut. Ellipsis Entertainment produces and Applause Entertainment presents Do Aur Do Pyaar, promising to transport viewers to a world where love becomes an enchanting mystery once again. 

Earlier, in a statement, while talking about the film, Shirsha said that the universe of this story immediately captivated her; it was honest, amusing, and relevant to her life at the time. Collaboration with the performers has been seamless, and she will always be grateful for their kindness. Applause and Ellipsis, her producers, have been nothing but encouraging and steadfast throughout. Even though she is anxious, Shirsha can't deny that this entire experience has been extraordinary. 

Long-awaited release

Sameer Nair of Applause Entertainment shared that the film is a glittering, elegant love story that challenges all contemporary ideas about commitment and devotion. They are ecstatic to collaborate with Shirsha, whose unparalleled insight into human connections perfectly complements the alchemical chemistry of this stellar ensemble. Also, they are thrilled to be working with Ellipsis again on this hilarious, endearing, and emotionally charged tale. 

Producers Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Swati Iyer, partners at Ellipsis Entertainment, went on to say that the topic of love continues to captivate and spark discussions. Creating something that is simultaneously dynamic, sophisticated, approachable, encouraging, and funny was their first priority as they sought to address relationship burnout. They also said, "This is probably the story of your life, or definitely one that you've seen one or more of your friends go through." 

Do Aur Do Pyaar is finally releasing in March of this year, almost three years after it was announced.
