Doc out on OTT in India: Here's where you can stream Molly Parker-led medical drama

With its U.S. premiere earlier this year, the critically acclaimed American medical drama Doc is now available to viewers in India on Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium). The show, created by Barbie Kligman and adapted from the popular Italian series Doc – Nelle tue mani, premiered on Fox on January 7, 2025, and its devoted fan base immediately demanded a second season, which was renewed in February 2025.
Doc: Emotional journey of Dr Amy Larsen
Doc follows Dr Amy Larsen's (Molly Parker) quietly intense and emotionally complex journey through the fictional Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. The previous chief of internal medicine at the hospital, Dr Larsen, is involved in a vehicle accident that leaves her with a severe brain injury and completely forgets the last eight years. She has to reevaluate her career and personal goals as she adjusts to her new life as a divorcee and becomes emotionally distant from her coworkers.
Mixed in these high-stakes medical situations are relatable human tales of tragedy, triumph, and salvation. The audience is introduced to a vibrant and varied ensemble that features Omar Metwally as Chief Medical Officer Dr Michael Hamda, Jon Ecker as Chief Resident Dr Jake Heller, who is driven but occasionally conflicted, and Amirah Vann as neuropsychiatrist Dr Gina Walker, who is instrumental in assisting Amy with her cognitive difficulties.
Ensemble cast
The core cast also includes Anya Banerjee as Dr Sonya Maitra, a third-year resident, and Scott Wolf as Dr Richard Miller, the acting chief of internal medicine who fills in for Amy while she recovers. As Dr TJ Coleman, a first-year resident, Patrick Walker injects new life into the series.
Audiences in India are showing a growing preference for character-driven, complex medical dramas, which is fitting given that Doc has just premiered there.
