Dochevaarevarura OTT release date: When and where to watch Siva Nageswara Rao’s comedy

Telugu OTT platform aha has consistently kept its promise of coming up with a new film on the streamer every weekend. While the leading digital platform is premiering a new web show Papam Pasivadu, starring Sreerama Chandra, this Friday, another film is set to arrive on the platform the same day. After its theatrical run, Dochevaarevarura, the black comedy, is finally coming to OTT.

Dochevaararevura, the hilarious ride, written and directed by seasoned filmmaker Siva Nageswara Rao, released in theatres on March 11. Nearly seven months after its theatrical release, the film is landing on the streamer on September 29. aha reportedly acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for a decent price from the makers. The film had a modest run at the box office, earning mixed reviews. 

Ajay Ghosh, Bithiri Sathi, Pranava Chandra, Malavika Satheesan played key roles in the film produced by Boddu Koteswara Rao under IQ Creations. The latter had signed the filmmaker for a project after noticing videos from his Youtube channel named Once More. Rohith Vardhan scored the music for the film. One of the songs from the film, Sulle Baku, was written by the director himself.

“The story was born out of an idea I didn’t like. When I put it aside, I was excited by another story. I finalised Ajay Ghosh during the scripting stages. I had watched him at work, his eyes and diction in a few shoots. Bithiri Sathi has another key role. Tanikella Bharani, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Benarjee will be seen in guest appearances,” the maker told in a conversation with OTTplay.com.

Ajay Ghosh will be seen in a double role in the film. Pranava Chandra, one of the leads and a former protege of Chandra Siddhartha, is the son of lyricist Chaitanya Prasad. Upon the film’s release, the performances received praise. The OTT release of the film should ideally ensure it a wider reach across the globe.
