One of the most highly anticipated MCU films of the year, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will hit the big screen this week. The Marvel film has gotten fans talking for a number of reasons. In addition to promising to break the secrets of the multiverse wide open, the film also features the return of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. A new featurette from the film gives us a glimpse of what to expect from Wanda in the film.
The new featurette teases the different versions of Wanda which will make their appearance in the film, when the multiverse is tampered with. Olsen talked about the transition of her character from WandaVision to the upcoming film. The film’s director Sam Raimi said that he wanted to satisfy WandaVision fans as well, trying to take things to the next level in the film. Benedict Cumberbatch, who stars as the titular protagonist, is seen praising his co-star Olsen, talking about the way she ‘owned’ the character.

In an earlier featurette, the makers had talked about how they wanted to explore the more frightening and “mind-bending” aspects of the multiverse in the upcoming film. Olsen had also teased how Raimi tried to create “as much tension as possible” for the audience.
In addition to Cumberbatch and Olsen, the upcoming film also features Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez,Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Stuhlbarg and Rachel McAdams in pivotal roles. While Gomez will be making her MCU debut with the film, the others will be reprising their roles from previous Marvel films. The film is a sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange, and is a part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
