The trailer of one of the most awaited films, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was dropped recently and ever since, many fan theories have been doing rounds on social media. Now, while the trailer offers many exciting details about the film, it is especially one shot in the video clip that has now taken the internet by storm.

The shot that we are talking about here is that of a hero breaking the debris and flying through it from what looks like outer space to earth. The hero appears to be surrounded by bright light. Now, this has got the Marvel Cinematic Universe fans thinking. The shot has given reasons to the fans to believe that the hero is none other than Tom Cruise's Iron Man. Though it is not absolutely clear, fans believe that Benedict Cumberbatch's film confirms the presence of Tony Stark, but not essayed by Robert Downey Jr. They say it is Tom Cruise's Iron Man that has made it to the trailer.

The Doctor Strange 2, as suggested by the title of the movie, deals with the concept of the multiverse and the consequences of the spells cast by Doctor Strange in the earlier MCU movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Hence, another Tony Stark can make perfect sense, even if it is only for this movie. Spider-Man: No Way Home also had two other friendly neighbourhood spider-men, played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. They are shown to have crossed over to another universe, where spider-man is played by Tom Holland. It is interesting to note here that the role of Tony Stark was earlier offered to Tom Cruise, before Robert Downey Jr, but he was not keen on the role as he reportedly thought, it won't work.

The story of an alternate universe Tony Stark also goes along with the theory that the Illuminati team of MC heroes are also part of the movie. The theory is only proving to be right with the presence of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier or Professor X. He is not seen in the trailer but his voice is heard.

Likewise, Marvel’s Illuminati is also a secret society that works behind the scenes. It is being predicted that the Illuminati will hold Strange responsible for the spell he cast that caused the multiversal chaos. Hence, there are more chances to see other Hollywood actors too in cameos in the movie.

The film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, will release on May 6, 2022.
