Doctor Strange 2: Tobey Maguire may reprise his role as Spider-Man in The Multiverse Of Madness

The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced the concept of the multiverse in Phase 4 and also brought Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Men, showing them as the web slingers in other universes in the latest Tom Holland-led hit movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home. And now, there are reports that suggest that Maguire would be returning as the Spider-Man in the Doctor Strange 2 movie.

The upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be further exploring the concept of multiverse and reports of more cameos by actors who play different MCU characters are doing the rounds. It is also being suggested that Tobey Maguire would be one of them who'd return once again as Peter Parker in the film.

A Portuguese dubbing artiste for Elizabeth Olsen's character Wanda recently sparked these rumours with her photograph. She had shared the picture where the dubbing artiste Mariana Torres can be seen with Manolo Rey. Rey has earlier dubbed for Tobey Maguire in Portuguese. She captioned the post saying, 'Good things are coming,' and Manolo is seen wearing a t-shirt with three Spider-Men.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with the hints of the multiverse and Doctor Strange can be seen visiting Wanda to find out more about the multiverse. Doctor Strange plays a prominent role in the upcoming the Multiverse of Madness movie and the picture has led to many speculations of Mariana and Manolo dubbing for the movie. It could imply that Tobey Maguire will return in the film.

Fans are excited to see Tobey swing his way onto the screens again. The actor had returned to play Spider-Man in No Way Home after 13 years and fans can't seem to get enough of their favourite Spider-Man.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and Xochitl Gomez, is scheduled to release in theatres on May 6, 2022.
