In the wake of the news that Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going through significant reshoots, star Benedict Cumberbatch has come forward with reasons why that is happening. The star’s recent statements put to rest some worrying concerns fans had regarding the state of the highly anticipated film.

In conversation with the Empire Magazine, Benedict confirmed that the reshoots for the movie were going on at the moment. The actor revealed that most of the reshoots were due to the fact that the scenes could not be filmed at the scheduled times, either due to logistical reasons or due to difficulties due to the pandemic. The star also assured viewers that the makers were doing their best to realise the full potential of the film.

It had earlier been reported in The Hollywood Reporter that the upcoming sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange had to undergo some major reshoots, which would likely stretch over the course of six weeks. The crew had also mentioned at the time how one of the reasons for the same was problems that arose from the COVID-19 related issues.
