Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Benedict Cumberbatch's film to reveal the most powerful MCU character?

The concept of the multiverse was established in Tom Holland's movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home with villains and superheroes from other universes colliding together. Though Doctor Strange did not seem to be that well aware of the concept in the film, he will now be seen exploring it further in the upcoming MCU movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. 

As the multiverse is being explored, a question arises. Who is the most popular MCU character? Well, you can expect an answer in this Doctor Strange 2 film, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch. According to a report by Empire, the film will reveal the most powerful character from the MCU world.

This has left several fans guessing. Though Dr Stephen Strange seems to be really powerful with knowledge of magic spells that can unleash various worlds at once, there is also a possibility that someone might be mightier than him. Doctor Strange 2 will directly unfold after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the first season of Loki, leaving Dr Strange to form allies to fight against the threats of the multiverse. This includes Wanda Maximoff and the producer of the film, Richie Palmer had earlier teased that Wanda might be the most powerful MCU character.

The film will also see Strange and Wanda working together for the first time even they have crossed paths before while fighting Thanos and Tony Stark's funeral in Avengers: Endgame. The film will explore if Wanda can be an ally for Strange or will she be too invested in the powers of the Darkhold. The two have faced their personal hells and will be seen being further challenged by the madness of the multiverse. Richie Palmer, according to slashfilm.com, said that Darkhold is an integral part of the movie. Even though it holds important information about harnessing energy from other dimensions, it also holds power over the person who possesses it, which can drive them crazy.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, will release in theatres on May 6, 2022.
