The film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has caught the attention of every Marvel movie lover ever since it was announced. And with the trailer that was released a few weeks ago, they seem to be unable to contain their excitement for Benedict Cumberbatch's movie.
Since the promo video was out, there have also been several fan theories and speculations doing the rounds on the internet. The makers too have let the fans guess as they haven't revealed many details about the upcoming Doctor Strange 2 movie. Of late, there are reports suggesting that Tom Hiddleston's Loki will be making an appearance in the movie. But there is no confirmation about it from Marvel Studios.
The rumours of Loki's appearance in the movie began when a voice artiste Peter Lontzek, who is the voice of Loki in German, reportedly said in an interview with a local portal that there is a new Marvel movie he is working on and he is not allowed to talk about it. The voice artist also mentioned that the movie is releasing this summer. As only one Marvel movie is releasing this summer, the speculations of Loki in Doctor Strange movie only got stronger. The Hollywood Reporter had also claimed earlier that he will be making an appearance in the movie.
The character of Hiddleston, Loki was last seen in Avengers: Endgame where he was killed by Thanos. The character also had a spin-off series Loki which also explored the concepts of variants and multiverse. The series is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. As the new Doctor Strange movie also explores these concepts, there are chances of seeing Loki in it probably higher.
Apart from Loki, the film has led to several other theories and speculations. Fans also claim that Tom Cruise's Iron Man will also appear in the MCU movie as they say they have found him in the trailer. There are also rumours that John Krasinski will be playing Mr Fantastic in the film. There are no confirmations on these characters yet, except for Patrick Stewart's cameo in the movie. Patrick will reprise his role as Professor Charles Xavier from the X-Men films.
Meanwhile, directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will release on May 6, 2022. Apart from Cumberbatch, the film also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
