Even though Prashanth Neel is yet to confirm or deny the presence of a 'multiverse' that links his KGF films with Salaar, fans are only growing certain that the two worlds are, indeed, connected. A lot's been speculated about this connection, which ranges from Yash being a part of Salaar to Prabhas' character finding its origins in K.G.F: Chapter 2, but, unfortunately, one is left with no choice but to wait for the theatrical release of the bilingual. September 28, 2023, might be quite far off but that's never stopped aficionados and fans from sharing inside scoop to amplify the hype & hysteria around Salaar.
In this vein, when a popular Twitter group recently rekindled an old rumour concerning Prabhas' character in Salaar, netizens couldn't help but weigh in. It's no secret that the buzz about the character of Farmaan from KGF 2 eventually growing up to become Prabhas' titular character in Salaar has been swirling around on social media for quite some time. Although Farmaan is presumed dead as per what transpires in KGF 2, fans have often proposed that this character is later revived by Yash's Rocky Bhai and this sequence of events eventually leads to him becoming the 'most violent' man, Salaar. And when the same speculation resurfaced on the internet, responses flowed in non-stop and one among them was of Hombale Films and KRG Studios' Karthik Gowda.
Many would know that Karthik Gowda served as the executive producer for both the KGF films and is deeply involved in the making of Salaar as well. When he encountered this post regarding the Farmaan/Salaar buzz, he couldn't refrain from sharing an honest opinion - and his response to the speculation is quite something. And instead of reacting through words, Karthik managed to put things in perspective with a couple of emojis!
Adipurush trailer: Does Hombale Films' latest tweet confirm the release date of Salaar teaser?
Well, would it be safe to say that there is no possible connection between the KGF and Salaar storylines? And if there is one, the whole Farmaan-grows-up-to-be-Salaar angle can be dismissed based on Karthik Gowda's laughter-filled reaction? Anyway, speculations have been rife that Prashanth Neel has reconceived his debut film Ugramm as Salaar and suitably tweaked a few things to suit the larger canvas and Prabhas' image. Fans hope that the teaser of Salaar is attached to the theatrical copy of Adipurush and a few of the questions might be answered should that materialize.
