Doora Theera Yaana, directed by awar d-winning filmmaker MansoRe is now available to stream. The film dropped on Sun NXT (also via OTTplay Premium) as of September 26, 2025. The film, starring Vijay Krishna and Priyanka Kumar in the lead, was in theatres on July 11, but did not do well at the box office, likely, because all eyes were on Ekka, which was scheduled to release only a week later.

Doora Theera Yaana had the lead pair, Akash (Vijay) and Bhoomi (Priyanka) as a couple who’s been together for 5 years and set to get engaged. While they seem the perfect pair, as IT professionals and part-time musicians, there’s an underlying current of unease between them, leading to the occasional flare up. Before their big day, Akash and Bhoomi set off on a road trip, in the hope that the few days they finally get to spend together without any other interruptions, will help them sort out whatever niggling issues there maybe.
This trip then turns out to be a journey of self-discovery for both of them, but is it for better or worse. That’s what Doora Theera Yaana is all about. Unlike MansoRe’s usual kind of hard-hitting cinema, Doora Theera Yaana had a lighter tone to it, with the visual presentation also very different from his other films. When the trailer came out, one observation that audiences made was that the film did not feel like a MansoRe movie. He, though, explained that the change was only in the visual presentation and that his sensibilities as a filmmaker would still be intact.
Doora Theera Yaana is MansoRe’s fifth directorial, after films like Harivu, Nathicharami, Act 1978 and 19.20.21. While his heart lies in making his kind of cinema, MansoRe said that the reason he chose to turn things around was to ensure that his producer does not suffer in his pursuit of creative satisfaction.
