DQ40 is I’m Game: Dulquer Salmaan back in Malayalam cinema with Nahas Hidhayath film; first-look poster out

Actor Dulquer Salmaan might have started out with Malayalam cinema, but has been seen lately doing Tamil and Telugu films. After the success of films like Lucky Baskhar and Sita Ramam, Dulquer has been getting many offers from other languages and also announced a few Tamil and Telugu films. However, there has been a criticism that he is yet to return to Malayalam cinema. And for all those who asked, Dulquer Salmaan announced his Malayalam project titled I'm Game with filmmaker Nahas Hidhayath on Saturday.

I'm Game: Dulquer Salmaan-Nahas Hidhayath film announced

Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in a Malayalam film back in 2023 - King of Kotha. With the film not doing so well at the box office, Dulquer had gone on to appear in Telugu films. Fans of the actor have been requesting him to sign a Malayalam film. On Saturday, Dulquer Salmaan announced a new film with Nahas Hidhayath. It has been titled I'm Game.

The upcoming project is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who is known for helming RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, the very film which released alongside King of Kotha and won the Onam race. The film's poster is a close-up shot of a man's hands. Even if they appear sophisticated with a watch and ring, it also has a big scar, with blood wounds, and is seen holding a cricket ball and a card on the other.

All we know about I'm Game so far

I'm Game has story by Nahas, with screenplay by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu and Ismail Aboobacker. Jakes Bejoy is scoring the music. I'm Game will have a release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. A date is yet to be announced. Notably, I’m Game is Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th outing as a lead actor.

Meanwhile, Dulquer was last seen in the Telugu film Lucky Baskhar which is currently streaming on Netflix. The film is directed by Venky Atluri. He also has Kaantha and Aakasam Lo Oka Tara.
