Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana meets the ‘OG’ dream girl Hema Malini

After the runaway success of the quirky film ‘Dream Girl’, the film’s makers saw the excitement and the enthusiasm amongst the audiences to see the film’s sequel. That explains the reason why the film’s makers came up with the film’s sequel and titled it ‘Dream Girl 2’. Added to the excitement were the film’s unique marketing strategy that had been adopted by the film’s makers in which they used famous on-screen characters and their voices to promote the film.

This time round, it seems that the makers of the film have struck gold. As a part of the film’s promotions, the film ‘Dream Girl 2’s lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana had met with Bollywood’s ‘original’ dream girl Hema Malini. These two ‘dream girls’ coming together in one frame was definitely a moment that was worth capturing!

The unique meeting of these two ‘dream girls’ was aptly captured by the ‘OG’ dream girl of Bollywood – Hema Malini. Not just that, Hema Malini also posted an extremely heat-warming video of her dancing with Ayushmann Khurrana to the song ‘Dream Girl’, which was sung mellifluously by the eternal (late) singer Kishore Kumar. She captioned the post very aptly stating, “Had an amazing time reminiscing about my old days with the new Dream Girl @ayushmannk. #DreamGirl2 in Cinemas on 25th August. @pooja___dreamgirl @ektarkapoor @shobha9168 @neeta_lulla”.

No sooner did the legendary Hema Malini upload the said post on social media, the comments section of the post was flooded with messages from all over. Many just seemed to be gushing with happiness over the unexpected and unique coming together of the two dream girls viz., Hema Malini and Ayushmann Khurrana!

As for the film ‘Dream Girl 2’, while it has been directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, it has been produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the leading roles. Besides them, the film also stars Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, Asrani, Seema Pahwa, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh and Abhishek Banerjee in important roles. The film has been scheduled to be released in theatres on August 25, 2023.
