Actor Ajay Devgn took to social media to release the first glimpse of Tabu in Drishyam 2, where she plays a mother out to seek justice. The much awaited film is all set to hit the theatres on November 18th, 2022.

Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is the sequel to the 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, the Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name starring Mohanlal. The Hindi sequel stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna. As part of the extended promotional plan for the film put forward by the makers - which began with a series of posters and a special look on Drishyam Day on October 2 - Ajay Devgn has taken to social media to unveil the first glimpse of Tabu. Sharing the first look poster which features Tabu bearing a determined and intense gaze, he captioned the post, “Kaha tha na, woh itni jaldi humara peecha nahi chodne wale...woh fir aayenge. #Drishyam2 Case Reopens On 18th November 2022.”
In Drishyam, Tabu plays a cop and the sequel will see her probing further into the case surrounding her son’s disappearance. The first glimpse of her from the sequel shows her amidst fellow cops, as she stares intently with the myriad emotions hidden beneath her carefully shuttered expression. The journey of untangling the mystery will now be more intense for the viewers, considering most mothers will be able to relate to this quest for justice.
Fans of the film have been eagerly waiting for the sequel since the Malayalam film’s sequel was released in February last year. Drishyam 2 starts seven years later, returning to challenge all the events left off in the first film, including Vijay’s determination to protect his family at all costs. This movie seeks to fully immerse itself in the ‘crime-thriller’ genre.
Presented by Viacom18 Studios, Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Panorama Studios; Drishyam 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar, and co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey and Shiv Chanana. Other cast members include Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta. The original score and music is by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad).
Drishyam 2 drops in theatres on 18th November 2022.
