One of the most eagerly awaited Hindi films of the year was Drishyam 2, and so far, the audience reaction has been very positive. The Ajay Devgn-starring movie continued to do strongly on Monday, day 4, and has been on track to set several records. Drishyam 2 had a tremendous opening weekend, grossing over Rs. 60 crores in the first three days of its release, while other significant Bollywood movies this year have struggled at the box office.
The film, which has been directed by Abhishek Pathak, grossed over Rs. 11.50 crores at the box office on Monday and had a day four occupancy rate of over 20.5%. The Drishyam 2 collection has reportedly reached over Rs. 75 crore, according to the reports. The movie's opening weekend takings outperformed those of other recent blockbusters like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Drishyam 2 has nearly sold 43 lakh tickets in just four days and is anticipated to have 50 lakh viewers by Tuesday's end as per reports by Pinkvilla. Several industry experts claim that Drishyam 2 is gaining from its low ticket price. It collected Rs 21.59 crore on the second day after debuting with Rs 15.38 crore on the first. Due to higher demand, midnight shows were added on the first day, and single-screen theatres performed shows that were completely sold out. The movie is currently on pace to shortly join the Rs 100 crore club.
Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar are the producers of Drishyam 2. It is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios. Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 2 is based on the Malayalam film series, Drishyam (2013) and its 2021 sequel, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph.
