With his most recent film, Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn has finally found success after a string of flops. With its steadily rising numbers, the Abhishek Pathak-directed film is wreaking havoc at the box office. Drishyam 2 continues to draw large numbers to the theatres after reaching a century on Day 7. According to trade reports, Drishyam brought in double digits on Saturday, November 26, bringing the total to Rs 127 crore. On November 18, the movie with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna debuted in theatres. It has been breaking numerous records at a time when many Bollywood biggies are having financial difficulties.

On November 18, ticket counters for Abhishek Pathak's Drishyam 2 saw a bumper opening. On Day 1, the movie's domestic box office took in Rs. 15.38 crore. The movie's collections started to rise gradually. In just seven days, Drishyam 2 joined the Rs 100 crore club—this is no small accomplishment! Day 9, November 26, Drishyam 2 made over 10 crore! The movie made Rs 15 crore in a single day. As a result, it earned Rs 127.53 crore in total at domestic ticket counters. On Day 9, Drishyam 2's Hindi occupancy was overall 41.10 percent.

Drishyam 2 outperformed popular Bollywood movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and The Kashmir Files during their opening weekends. Additionally, it might rank among the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2022.

The emotional thriller Drishyam tells the tale of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay), a cable operator whose life revolves around movies and his family, including wife Nandini (Shriya Saran) and daughters Anju and Anu. In the movie, Tabu portrays IG Meera Deshmukh. Ajay played Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam, a man who sacrifices everything to save his family when his daughter unintentionally murders a young boy.

The popular Malayalam film starring Mohanlal of the same name, directed by National Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat, was remade into Hindi as Drishyam. After that, the plot is continued in Abhishek Pathak's Drishyam 2.
