Ajay Devgn has been teasing Drishyam 2 on his social media pages, much to the excitement of the fans. Now, finally a teaser has been dropped and it's a recap of sorts of what happened in the first instalment, which was released in 2015. The teaser, which lasts more than a minute, will give you goosebumps as it shows Devgn, playing Vijay Salgaonkar, going to great lengths to protect his family after IG's son is murdered by his wife and daughter.

The teaser, however, gives a little tease of Drishyam 2, in which Salgaonkar is heard saying that he is ready to confess to his crimes. Will he? Won't he? We just have to wait a few more days to find out more.

Abhishek Pathak has taken over the director's chair for Drishyam 2 after the untimely demise of Nishikant Kamat, who helmed the first film.

Along with Devgn, Drishyam 2 also stars Shriya Saran, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav, reprising their roles from the 2015 release. Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna is the new addition to the cast in the second part.

Following the success of Drishyam 2 (2021), the follow-up to the original 2013 Malayalam film Drishyam, released in February 2021, a sequel to the Hindi film Drishyam was announced. Producer Kumar Mangat bought the rights to the remake, and initially, the Hindi version's director was going to be Jeethu Joseph.

The film has been extensively shot in Goa and Hyderabad. Meanwhile, after the release of the Mohanlal and Meena starrer Malayalam film, the remakes in Telugu and Kannada languages have already been released.

In Hindi is the latest remake, which is getting a theatrical release on November 18, 2022. Meanwhile, the original Malayalam film premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video, skipping the theatrical release.
