Mohanlal-led Drishyam 3 is yet to go on floors, but the hype surrounding the film is such that director Jeethu Joseph gets bogged down by questions every time he faces an interview. Drishyam 3 will also have a Hindi release with Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn in the lead, and there is much speculation about which version will come out first. Now, Jeethu Joseph has confirmed that the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 will be out first, and that the makers of the Hindi film are waiting for his script.

Amid speculations among fans about whether Mohanlal or Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 will hit theatres first, director Jeethu Joseph has confirmed that it will be Malayalam first, adding that he is yet to share the script with the Bollywood team.
Jeethu Joseph made the remarks during a recent interview with Cue Studio. When asked which Drishyam 3 will be out first, Jeethu replied, “Malayalam thane (It will be Malayalam). They are waiting for our script. If they try doing something on their own, we would have to move legally. But I don’t think they will do it.”
The noted filmmaker was also quizzed about a possible release date, but Jeethu Joseph said that it was too early to talk about the release. There were also reports of simultaneous release in Malayalam and Hindi. The Drishyam franchise is a thriller, with the climaxes of both part 1 and part 2 becoming the game-changers for these movies. So, whichever version of Drishyam 3 comes first obviously has an advantage.

On the other hand, Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming release is Mirage, which stars Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. Mirage, also touted to be a thriller, will hit theatres on September 19, 2025.
