Stranger Things Season Four is expected to return to Netflix for its penultimate season on May 27, 2022, after a long hiatus. Since the show debuted in 2016, fans have witnessed the charming monster-fighting kids grow up in front of their eyes. Stranger Things is a homage to the great cult films of the 1980s that enthralled an entire generation. Netflix recently released its first look and trailer, which went viral on the internet, and fans can't wait any longer.

When asked how Stranger Things 4 differs from prior seasons, Matt Duffer stated when asked how they call this their Game of Thrones season because they have so many diverse places. More than anything, the fact that they are so spread apart this year defines the season. He believes that this season of Stranger Things makes it so distinct and unique because they have Hawkins, of course, but they also have California and Russia. They have narratives in those three key areas, each with their own feel and appearance. And, as varied as they are, all of these stories eventually and inevitably come together. It's a one-of-a-kind season.

Ross Duffer said of Stranger Things 4 that they had a lot of fun with the idea that Season Three was set in summer, and it was extremely technicolour and bright and very poppy. We thought of it as our summer blockbuster, but it ended on a sour note, with Hopper gone and our group splintering. This season, they are still dealing with the gloom. It's about suspense as well as revelations. They have accumulated a lot of ideas over the years, and this season feels like they are finally putting practically all of them into action. This season has taught them more about their mythology than any other.

The fans will discover a lot about the Upside Down and what this wicked power that has been attacking Hawkins for years truly wants. It's thrilling for the makers since this season reveals a lot of the tale. Overall, the makers believe the tone is darker than it was previously. The idea was to make this season the most terrifying yet.

Stranger Things 4: Volume 1 will be available on Netflix on May 27.
