Actor Anirban Chakrabarti, director Joydeep Mukherjee, and writer Padmanabha Dasgupta are back on Hoichoi. However, this time, it is not Eken Babu that brought them together. Based on Ullash Mallick’s story, the trio created a web series, Dugdugi. Besides Anirban, the series also features Biswanath Basu, Raiti Bhattacharya, Loknath De, Shreya Bhattacharya, and others.
The trailer of Dugdugi shows the protagonist Abanish’s (Anirban) life is in a thorough mess. From work life to his family life and extramarital life – everything go up in the air.
Abanish doesn’t have any children and his neighbours remark on that. They also give him some tips to overcome this issue. One fine morning, his wife goes missing. Following his friend’s advice, Abanish goes to the police. The investigation begins. Can Abanish find peace in his life? Or will his wife return with even bigger problems? This is the story of the new series Dugdugi.
In this series, Anirban takes a break from his ERken Babu style. He looks refreshing as a simple middle-class man. He has an apt companion in the form of Biswanath Basu, who plays a significant role as his confidant. The streaming of this series will commence on July 28 on Hoichoi.
