Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur’s Sita Ramam is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi

Sita Ramam, the 2022 Telugu film starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, was critically acclaimed. The film was released in theatres in August 2022, but you can watch it on the big screen once again soon.
The film is set to re-release on February 14, on the occasion of Valentine's Day. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a significant role.
Sita Rama is a period romantic drama helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film has two parallel tracks: one of the two star-crossed lovers who are unaware of each other's identities and the present, where a Pakistani girl comes in search of Indian Army Lieutenant Ram to deliver a letter. While Rashmika plays the Pakistani girl, Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan play lovers. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sumanth, Sachin Khedekar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Murali Sharma are part of the cast.
The film opened to positive reviews. Sita Rama gave Mrunal Thakur much-needed fame and success in the South. The film was also praised for its visuals by cinematographers PS Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna and music by Vishal Chandrasekhar.
Mrunal, who has on to become an A-liste actor, was recently seen in the Telugu film Hi Nanna opposite Nani. The film got good reviews. The actor is now awaiting the release of Family Star alongside Vijay Deverakonda, which is slated to be released in theatres on April 5. There are also speculations that Mrunal will make her Tamil debut with STR 48. However, nothing has been confirmed so far.
On the other hand, Dulquer, who was last seen in the Malayalam film King of Kotha, has the Telugu film Lucky Baskhar with director Venky Atluri up for release. He is also part of the star-studded cast of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's Thug Life.
Meanwhile, Rashmika, whose last release was Animal, will be headlining two films: Rainbow and The Girlfriend. Both films are under production. She also has Chaava and the second part of Pushpa, titled Pushpa: The Rule.
