Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming movie Othiram Kadakam, which is directed by Soubin Shahir, is set to go on floors soon and OTTplay has exclusively learnt that the movie will be shot in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu.

The film marks Soubin’s second directorial and also the second time he is directing Dulquer. While the young superstar had earlier played a cameo in Soubin’s Parava, the upcoming film will have the actor playing the lead. The rest of the cast of the film is expected to be announced soon.

Othiram Kadakam will have the actor sport a new look with curly hair, as revealed in the first look poster of the film on the actor’s birthday in July this year. Dulquer had announced that he was excited to be collaborating again with Soubin for the movie and that he also promised that the character and his nuances are something that he hasn’t tried out before.

Dulquer is also producing the movie. Othiram Kadakam marks the actor’s second production this year after Rosshan Andrrews’ Salute. The latter film, which is scripted by Bobby and Sanjay, is in its final stages of post-production and the makers are expected to announce a release date soon. Salute, which also stars Diana Penty, will have Dulquer playing the role of a police officer.

The actor, meanwhile, has also completed the shoot of Brinda master’s Hey Sinamika. He will wrap up with the shoot of R Balki’s thriller Chup, which also has Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt, and will resume the shoot of Hanu Raghavapudi’s trilingual, co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna. Srinath Rajendran’s Kurup, which is also produced by Dulquer, is also awaiting release.
