Irugapatru, the relationship drama that hit the theatres in October, emerged as a critical and commercial success. The project, which stars Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Srinath, Vidharth, Abarnathi, Sri, and Saniya Iyappan in the lead roles, has been receiving excellent reviews from the audience after its Netflix release. Popular actor Dulquer Salmaan, who loved Irugapatru, recently heaped praises on the movie.
Dulquer Salmaan praises Irugapatru
The pan-Indian actor, who loved the Yuvaraj Dhayalan directorial, took to his official Instagram handle and penned a heartfelt note. “#Irugapatru Such a delightful, heartwarming, gem of a film! Relatable. Relevant. Sensitive and Poignant. This one tugs at the heartstrings,” wrote Dulquer Salmaan in his post.
“Teared up in several moments. With a stellar cast who have lived their roles. Well crafted and narrated. I was immersed in this world from the Get go,” the Sita Ramam actor further added in his post. The cast and crew members of Irugapatru reshared Dulquer’s post on their respective social media handles and thanked the actor for the review.
Dulquer’s special post for buddy Vikram Prabhu
For the uninitiated, Dulquer Salmaan and Vikram Prabhu, who played one of the lead roles in Irugapatru, are close friends from a young age. The Guns and Gulaabs actor, who is extremely proud of his buddy’s performance in Irugapatru, further added a special note for the actor.
“Mach! Eyes closed this is my favourite role and film of yours now! You deserve all the love and wishing nothing but great cinema to you,” reads Dulquer’s post. Vikram Prabhu, on the other hand, reshared his friend’s post and wrote: “Thank You Mach”
About Irugapatru
The relationship drama revolves around a marriage counsellor named Mithra, played by Shraddha Srinath and the couples she comes across. Vikram Prabhu plays the role of Mithra’s husband Mano, while Vidharth and Abarnathi, and Sri and Saniya Iyappan appear as the other married couples. Gokul Benoy is the director of photography of the project. Justin Prabhakaran composed the music.
