Director Srinath Rajendran’s upcoming Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Kurup is expected to have some stellar performances from its cast. And one actor who always strives to rise above the script is Indrajith Sukumaran, who will be seen playing a cop in the period thriller, which is slated for a theatrical release across the world on November 12.

Dulquer on Monday released a poster, introducing Indrajith’s character, whom he had described as a super sleuth and a righteous police officer who came closest to capturing the infamous fugitive Kurup. Indrajith plays DYSP Krishnadas in the movie that is inspired by the life of one of India’s most wanted criminals Sukumara Kurup.

Kurup, who after murdering Chacko in 1984 to fake his death for insurance money, has been absconding since then and Krishnadas’ character has been chasing tips across the country and abroad to apprehend Kurup for the best part of 80s and 90s.

While Dulquer and Indrajith are teaming up for a film for the first time, it remains to be seen how much screen space and time the duo will be sharing, considering that Kurup has never been caught despite the chase. Kurup also has Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko and Sunny Wayne in pivotal roles.

Indrajith, meanwhile, is set for a big November. Soon after Kurup’s theatrical release, the actor will have Bibin Samuel George’s upcoming sports-drama Aaha, in which he plays the leader of a tug-of-war team. Indrajith will be seen in two looks in the movie, which also has Santhy Balachandran, Ashwin Kkumar, Manoj K Jayan and Amith Chakalakkal. Aaha is set for a theatrical release on November 19.
