Sita Ramam, the war romance headlined by Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, is certainly amongst the most well-promoted films in recent times. Right from introducing the film’s ensemble cast to audiences through character promos to the impressive teaser and the song launch events across the city, the team is showing immense enthusiasm for spreading the word about the film.

The third song from the film, Kaanunna Kalyanam, was launched today at an engineering college. An excited Dulquer Salmaan, at the event, said, “I’ve been to many events and shows all through my career but I’ve never seen such a huge crowd for any film of mine. Thank you for all the love and sorry to have kept you waiting. I apologise for the delay. I was shooting for another project in Hyderabad and I wouldn’t have missed this event for anything else.”

Talking about the song and shooting experiences for it, Dulquer shared, “Kaanunna Kalyanam is the most romantic number I’ve ever shot for. I hope you liked it (greeted with a lot of applause). I didn’t have much to do in the song, just had to walk and look happy. It was the very beautiful Mrunal Thakur, dressed in traditional Kashmiri clothes, who had to learn many dance steps for it.”

“This was one of the first songs we shot for, in the initial schedule of film, in Kashmir, in the middle of a pandemic. The song inspired us so much that it gave us all the energy and enthusiasm to forget everything around us. We were happy to be on set every day. It’s a beautiful song, keep listening to it and come, watch our film on August 5. I am expecting all of you there,” he further added.

Dulquer and his co-star Mrunal also shook a leg to the number on the stage and left the college students in awe. Actor-director Tharun Bhascker too entertained crowds at the event. Cinematographed by PS Vinod, Shreyaas Krishnan, the film has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar and is edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Ashwini Dutt has produced the film under Swapna Cinema.
