Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make a grand comeback to Malayalam cinema after a long gap, very soon. As reported earlier, the popular actor is teaming up with RDX fame director Nahas Hidayath, for his next outing. The project is expected to start rolling in November 2024. If the recent updates are to be believed, the yet-to-be-titled project will also feature SJ Suryah and Antony Varghese Pepe, in pivotal roles.
SJ Suryah, Antony Varghese Pepe to join Dulquer Salmaan’s next?
If the recent updates are to be believed, SJ Suryah, the renowned filmmaker-turned-actor, is in talks to join the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer, directed by Nahas Hidayath. The multi-faceted talent, who is best known for his performances in many recent blockbusters of Tamil and Telugu cinema, is said to be in talks to play the lead antagonist. In that case, the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan-Nahas Hidayath project will mark SJ Suryah’s official debut, in Malayalam cinema.
The recent reports also suggest that Antony Varghese Pepe, who has previously teamed up with director Nahas Hidayath for RDX, is also a part of the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan project. According to the grapevine, the Kondal actor, who is best known for his action-packed films, has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The makers are yet to finalise the female lead and the rest of the star cast of the film, which is bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s home banner Wayfarer Films.

The pan-Indian star was last seen in Malayalam in the Abhilash Joshiy directorial, King Of Kotha. The movie, which featured Dulquer Salmaan as the central character Kotha Raju, is currently available for streaming on Sony LIV. The popular actor, who is more active with his other language projects, recently made a cameo appearance in Kalki 2898 AD, the mega multi-starrer directed by Nag Ashwin.
He will be next seen in Lucky Baskhar, the upcoming multi-lingual film directed by Venky Atluri. Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy with the filming of Kaantha, the upcoming film directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. After wrapping up the period drama film and Nahas Hidayath’s next, the actor is expected to join the sets of Guns And Gulaabs Season 2, helmed by Raj and DK.
