The trailer of Guns & Gulaabs, a crime comedy series directed by Raj & DK, starring Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, and Gulshan Devaiah, dropped today and movie buffs are loving it. It will premiere on Netflix on August 18.

At the trailer launch event held in Delhi today, D Salmaan addressed why he chose to be a part of the movie. He told the press, “Very good evening to all of you in Delhi! I’m very emotionally connected with Delhi, especially after working on this project here, I was very excited to be in the city. What I love about my career is that I never made any grand plans. At the same time, I never thought of venturing anywhere outside my career. Here is why.”

The actor poured out his love for Indian cinema and later confessed, “I never thought of getting a call from Raj and DK and this fact is indeed validating for me. I love the content they create. It is so unique. Also, I love the cast with me. It was a great learning experience for me. I learned how different theatres and artists operate. As I had expected and this is why, I decided to be onboard, and it was a no-brainer for me.”

Donning an all-black attire at the event today, Salmaan surely made a fashion statement with his uniquely cut blazer and pants.

Present along with him were popular actors Rajkummar Rao and Gulshan Devaiah, who too, felt great to be a part of a project like Guns and Gulaab. The series is an ode to Bollywood in the '90s.

On Twitter today, Raj and DK wrote, “Get your paana, pistol, and some roses ready. We think we have created a pretty cool genre mashup blending romance, comedy, pulp, and action with lots of thrills and kills. Here is the trailer! #GunsAndGulaabs, streaming from Aug 18, only on Netflix.”
