Dumb and Dumber To plot overview

The movie follows two friends, Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey), who have known each other for a long time now. Meanwhile, Harry's health is deteriorating, and he needs a kidney transplant. It was recently revealed to him that he has a daughter. Now, he hopes she will donate a kidney to him. Hence, Harry and Lloyd set off on a trip to find Harry’s daughter and try to persuade her to save Harry’s life.

Back in 2014, one of the directors of Dumb and Dumber To, Bobby Farrelly talked about the many experiences of working on the sequel after such a long period of time. The director shared that he enjoyed people’s reactions after knowing that the Dumb and Dumber sequel is coming.

Bobby Farrelly also shared that they had to recreate Harry and Lloyd because these guys have not grown up at all, and they are still living in the same place. So, they actually had to reshoot the sequel in Atlanta.
