Dune release date: When and where to watch Timothée Chalamet's Oscar-nominated film on OTT

In March, Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute Dune, the critically acclaimed film, on Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by Academy Award nominee Denis Villeneuve, will be available on Amazon Prime Video on March 25 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, according to the streaming service's official social media accounts.

The science fiction blockbuster is based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel, which is regarded as one of the most important books of the twentieth century and is credited with inspiring many of the finest films ever made.

At the Venice Film Festival premiere, Dune received an eight-minute standing ovation. Denis Villeneuve's breathtaking version of the 1965 sci-fi classic got tremendous accolades.

Dune is a mythic and emotionally packed hero's journey about Paul Atreides, a clever and gifted young man born into a tremendous destiny beyond his comprehension, who must travel to the universe's most perilous planet to preserve the future of his family and people.

Only those who can overcome their fear will live as nefarious powers clash over the planet's unique supply of the most valuable resource in existence, a commodity capable of unlocking humanity's ultimate potential.

Oscar nominees Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem star in the film.

For the uninitiated, Dune debuted on HBO Max on the same day as its theatrical release, but it was only available to stream for 30 days. The film will also be re-released on HBO Max on March 10, just a few days before the Oscars' final voting. 

At the 94th Academy Awards, Dune received ten nominations, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Cinematography, among many other awards and nominations. Dune: Part Two, the sequel, will be released on October 20, 2023.
