Duniya Vijay's Kannada hit Jayammana Maga to release in Telugu

Jayammana Maga, the Kannada horror-thriller that released in 2013, is credited to have resurrected the career of actor Duniya Vijay, releasing to positive reviews and emerging a winner at the box office, collecting over Rs 35 crore. Now, the film, after nine years of its release in Kannada, will be dubbed into Telugu. The film, helmed by Ravikiran Vikas, is titled Mahabali in Telugu and the team has wrapped all its pre-release formalities and are planning to release it soon.

Marduri Venkata Rao has acquired the Telugu rights of Jayammana Maga and will release it under Sri JV Productions. The producer calls the horror-thriller a visual wonder with adequate doses of action and love. Conveying his happiness about releasing the film in Telugu, he's confident that Telugu crowds will lap it up. "I'm sure of its box office prospects. Arjun Janya's music is a major highlight of the film. Ravikiran Vikas' execution and Duniya Vijay's performance will be a feast for audiences," he adds.

Bharathi Babu has written the dialogues and songs for the Telugu version. The makers are planning to release the songs shortly. Mahabali may have a release in July too, the producer had hinted. Dr Bharathi and Kalyani Raju play the female leads in the film that also stars Rangayana Raghu, NL Narendra Babu. Nani Muthyala has edited the film which has cinematography by Sugnaan.

Jayammana Maga, a.k.a Mahabali in Telugu, revolves around black magic and human sacrifice and is believed to be a battle between good and evil. Will the supreme come to the rescue of the needy in the hour of crisis? Duniya Vijay had written the story of the original. The actor is set to make his straight Telugu debut as an antagonist with the Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shruti Haasan starrer #NBK107, directed by Gopichandh Malineni.
