Dunki actor Shah Rukh Khan back as most popular Indian male star

Shah Rukh Khan, currently seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, became the most popular Indian actor again. This happened in the month of November. In a list released by Ormax Media, SRK beat Vijay to become the most popular Indian actor. The other Bollywood actors on the list, like every time, were Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

2023 began with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan through Pathaan. While it was mainly SRK’s year with Jawan, Salman was also constantly in news thanks to Tiger 3 (which also saw SRK’s cameo) and Bigg Boss 17. The only actor who would compete with them is Vijay, who gains the second spot.

Akshay Kumar in top 5

With releases like OMG 2 and Mission Raniganj, Akshay Kumar also left some impact in the year. The actor is seen competing with Prabhas in top five. Prabhas ranks fourth and Akshay is fifth on the list.

Others on the list

Interestingly, even though Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is among the most awaited movies, the actor is at the very bottom of the list. He is ranked on number nine with his RRR co-star Jr. NTR, soon to be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 opposite Hrithik Roshan, taking the 10th spot. Those at number six, seven and eight were Ajith, Suriya and Mahesh Babu.

What’s interesting is that Ranbir Kapoor became the sensation on the internet ahead of and after Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal release. However, he did not make it to the list even now. Whether next time proves to be different, remains to be seen.
