Dunki's album is composed by Pritam and so far, three songs have been released on the internet
It’s finally Dunki Day! Shah Rukh Khan's third film of 2023 has hit the big screen and fans have already started flooding theatres. Now, as we are finally on the day all that build-up was for, it seems like a massive event. While everyone is wishing the team luck as they embark on a theatrical journey, ace singer Shaan also wished the team while revealing an interesting anecdote about a song that he sang for the film, which got scrapped. Shaan shared the story in a lengthy post on X.
Composed by Pritam, three songs from the album of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki have dropped on the internet. The album consists of many more tracks and has already found an audience that is hooked on them. However, it also featured the ethereal Shreya Ghoshal and Shaan singing the song "Durr Kahi Durr." The soothing track was included in the shoot and was filmed in Kashmir. However, for the betterment of the movie, director Rajkumar Hirani chose to scrap the sequence and the song from Dunki.
Shaan, in his latest post on X, clarified things and made them simple and peaceful for both him and the makers. In his post, the singer wrote, “Good Morning!!! Aaj #Dunki Day hai … I'm super excited!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT!! I’m sure Everyone is Going to love the Movie!!! I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film...”
Shaan added, “The song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with @shreyaghoshal ) “Durr Kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturized in Kashmir .. but on the edit table .. it was #RajuHirani ‘s call to drop the song .. (after a lot of contemplation.. ) He was very transparent about it with me.. and I really appreciate that.. and I fully understand that the Film is a top priority. Hopefully, You will get to hear the Song in His Future Project.. but not in #Dunki..”
The post is receiving love, and now the audience is curious to listen to the track because it is sung by two stellar singers. Meanwhile, Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Boman Irani, and an ensemble. The movie is written by Rajkumar Hirani with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
