Shah Rukh Khan has been more than relevant throughout 2023. He decided to begin the year with a blockbuster and then also end it by uniting with a filmmaker who has never seen a single flop in his career. And all of this in the year he chose to make a comeback after his five-year hiatus. Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is the talk of the town at the moment, and no one can replicate Shah Rukh Khan’s promotional strategy that only involves multiple AMAs on X (formerly called Twitter) predominantly. Now King Khan has decided to share a new poster.
SRK has been busy taking a run-up to the release date of Dunki. He has been sharing new promotional material from the film as he is keeping the countdown to release going. Today he shared a new poster of the film as he announced that there are only six days left to the release of the Rajkumar Hirani directorial on the big screen. The poster features Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover.
The ensemble can be seen standing near a broken wall, as they look into the camera with surprise and confusion. There is no hint of what they are looking at. However, what is interesting is the vibe of the entire setup. Sharing the poster of Dunki on his official Instagram handle Shah Rukh Khan wrote a quirky caption that read, “Kehdo apne papa, mummy, chacha, chachi, mama, mausi, Dadi aur Bebe se. 6 din ke baad apno jaise lagne waale inn namuno se milne zaroor aana. Toh ji 21 ko milna karlo fix, din bache hai only six!”

Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and written by Hirani with Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat Joshi, is a story about illegal immigrants taking the donkey route to cross borders. There is not much revealed about the main plot, as the trailer gives only a gist keeping the mystery alive. So far the promotional content for the film is being divided into Drops and they have been received very well.
Recently, Vicky Kaushal, who plays a pivotal part in the movie, while talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication as per Indian Express said, said, “On one of the shoot days, he had to rush to Delhi for some very important work and it couldn’t have happened at another time and another date. It was a very critical moment for my character in the film, and it was with him. He just couldn’t be there for that shot and I had to give that shot with a body double. He got done with his work in Delhi, and then he called me late in the night which I missed because there was an event.”
“He then sent me a long message saying, ‘Vicky, woh shot hum dobaara karenge. I’m really sorry that I couldn’t be there to give the cues.’ I had to call him and convince him that it went okay and Raju sir is happy with the shot. I was also nervous if I could pull off that shot again. But he insisted we do it because he was feeling terrible about not being able to give his shoulder in the shot. The next day he came on set and saw those shots and only after he was happy with them did he decide that we don’t need to reshoot them.”
