Taapsee Pannu is an actor who has come up the ranks of Bollywood with quality movies. The actor, who has a number of projects in the works, will also co-star Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s next, Dunki.

“For me, introduction to films happened in college. I haven’t seen many films in theatre in school (days) because we would hardly watch films in my house. So, a lot of Shah Rukh Khan films became my first few films that I have seen,” Taapsee told PTI, as reported by Indian Express.

She added that it is a golden opportunity when one gets to work with Khan and that Rajkumar Hirani directing the movie makes it even better. She further said that she does not know how she could own up to it.

Reports state that the movie is about a backdoor route that Indians use to immigrate into the USA and Canada called Donkey Flight. The movie’s script is co-written by Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.

Taapsee, who was last seen in the Telugu comedy, Mishan Impossible, has a handful of projects in the works. She is currently awaiting the release of Shabaash Mithu, a biographical sports drama based on the cricketer Mithali Raj, the former Test and ODI captain of women's national cricket team. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the movie also stars Mumtaz Sorcar, Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala and Devadarshini. The movie is scheduled for a release on July 15.

Hirani, who has made movies such as Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., 3 Idiots and PK, last directed Sanju in 2018. The blockbuster hit was based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, with Ranbir Kapoor essaying the role.
