Prime Video has announced a quirky series, adding yet another to their vibrant lineup, titled Dupahiya. The series name literally means two-wheeler, and it does revolve around a motorcycle. This is a homecoming for Bhuvan Arora on the streaming platform after his successful and impressive performance in Farzi.
The OTT giant dropped a first look, showing the actor riding the bike with Sparsh Srivastava of Laapataa Ladies fame showing off his swag while sitting behind him. The still also features Gajraj Rao and Shivani Raghuvanshi.
Check out the announcement below:
When a highly sought-after motorbike disappears in Dupahiya, a town celebrating 25 years of crime-free existence, chaos ensues! What follows is a wild adventure to recover the bike, which is important because it is the silver jubilee trophy, a wedding, and the villages' pride that are at risk.
The production company for Dupahiya is Bombay Film Cartel, run by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani. The creators of the project include Chirag Garg, Avinash Dwivedi, Salona Bains Joshi, and Shubh Shivdasani. The director of Dupahiya is Sonam Nair, whereas Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg are the writers. The key cast also includes Renuka Shahane and Yashpal Sharma.
Speaking about Bhuvan, he appeared in The Great Indian Family shortly after Farzi, which is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. Earlier, during an exclusive interview with OTTplay, when asked if he is now busier than ever after Farzi, the actor revealed, "I'm getting a lot of congratulatory messages from people wanting to work with me. I'm already in the middle of shooting a couple of things here. So I have to finish those first and then get on to newer things. People are definitely reaching out, and it's a great feeling. It's a progression that an actor strives for."
Meanwhile, Dupahiya's release date has not been announced.
