Durga Puja: Aparajita Adhya gets nostalgic with her parar Pujo

The Puja season has started in Kolkata with Mahalaya. The pandals are brimming with crowds and lanes and bylanes of Kolkata radiate a Puja glow. Celebs become busier during this time. Some of them are the faces of some Pujas. Some attend the pandals as special guests. Aparajita Adhya was no exception.

The actress, amidst her busy schedule, visited the pandal in her locality and was stuck by nostalgia. She also shared old memories. Aparajita's house is in Behala. She started Durga Puja in her locality with her friends. Now that puja, organized by Behala Chowrasta Jagarani Club, has become bigger. It now competes with the famous theme pujas of Kolkata. Aparajita visited that puja.

What was their theme this year? Aparajita said that it tells the backstory of Nandalal Basu’s paintings in Sahaj Path. Artist Raju is behind the decoration. Aparijata said, “I loved his work. They are decorating the floor now. There is a photo of Rabindranath Tagore. Every Year, I fight with the artists. But it suits me perfectly this year. We started this puja.” 

Aparajita got back on television this year with Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha. Billed as a mother-daughter story, the serial features Anusha Viswanathan.
