Durga Puja is here and Bengalis all over the world are gearing up to celebrate. Besides pandal hopping, gorging on favourite food, and hanging out with friends, Durga Puja is also about new film releases. This year, Dhrubo Banerjee’s Sonada adventure Karna Subarnar Guptodhon, Parambrata Chatterjee’s Boudi Canteen, Dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s Kacher Manush and Chandreyee Ghosh-starrer Sunita Hazra’s biopic Mission Everest will be released in Tollywood. Meanwhile, In Bangladesh too, two big budget films – Beauty Circus and Operation Sundarbans – will hit the theatres this Puja. The two films will be released on September 23. Besides Bangladesh, the films will get released abroad too. 

Beauty Circus, directed by Sabbir Ahmed Shohag, and Mahmud Didar, has Jaya Ahsan as the protagonist. Besides, it also features Firdaus Ahmed, Taukir Ahmed, ABM Suman, Satabdi Wahdud, and others. The film delves into the life of Beauty, who works in the circus. Jaya plays the character. The film is about her thrilling adventures and struggles in life.

Meanwhile, Operation Sundarban is directed by Dipankar Dipan. Darshana Banik, Siam Ahmad, Roshan, and Nusrat Faria play the lead characters. The film is about the adventure of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the elite force of Bangladesh Police, in order to make Sundarban free of criminals. The film is produced by RAB Welfare Cooperative Society Limited.

While Kolkata actress Darshana will be seen in the film, the actress is also busy with her national projects. After working with Nagarjuna in a South Indian film, the actress is not gearing up to play Parambrata Chatterjee’s sister in Kannada director Pavaan Wadyar’s Bollywood debut, Notary. As per sources, the look test was done earlier this month. The shooting will start after Puja.
