Last year, Suraj Venjaramoodu starred in ED Extra Decent, which also marked his first production venture. The Malayalam film, which released in theatres in December 2024, is now slated to release on multiple OTT platforms. Suraj Venjaramoodu’s ED Extra Decent is headed to the digital space four months after its theatrical release. The OTT rights of the film, directed by Aamir Pallikkal, was snapped up by Saina Play. The platform has confirmed that the movie will begin streaming on April 26. Apart from Saina Play, ED will also be available on Manorama Max and Amazon Prime Video.

ED Extra Decent clashed with Unni Mukundan-starrer Marco and Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club at the Christmas box office of 2024 when it released in theatres on December 20. Marco, which earned the title of the most violent film from Malayalam, emerged to be the winner at the Christmas box office. Marco is currently available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium.
Suraj Venjaramoodu is seen as middle-aged Binu, who lives with his parents, played by Sudheer Karamana and Vinaya Prasad. Things take a dramatic turn after Binu uncovers a dark secret about his family. Nunakkuzhi star Grace Antony plays his sister Nishima, while Premalu fame Shyam Mohan is seen as Sanju.
Suraj Venjaramoodu, who was once known for his hilarious comedy roles, transitioned to character and serious roles in the last decade or so. Several of his films are available for streaming on OTTplay Premium.
In movies like Padmasree Bharat Dr. Saroj Kumar, you can see Suraj Venjaramoodu essaying out-and-out comedy roles. But in Tovino Thomas Theevandi, he plays a responsible and caring father. But one of his most noted roles would be the stubborn 70-year-old Bhaskaran Poduval in Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, which also starred Soubin Shahir.
